More Surveillance Now! (MSN)

Just a run of the mill note: President Bush is going before the National Security Agency, headquartered in Maryland, to advocate for the continuation of the “Protect America Act,” specifically the additional surveillance measures imposed on phone and internet communications. The measures are slated to expire on February 1st. Bush will request that they be made permanent, or “immortal.”

Sounds great, really. I’m reminded of a joke I saw on Stephen Colbert tonight: “there’s nothing to worry about if you’ve got nothing to hide. Personally, I would be honored to be surveilled.”
